Rubber Stamps for Dog Lovers

If you are a proud owner of a dog, know someone that is or simply want to add a bit of canine fun to your stamping projects, why not take a look at dog themed rubber stamps? There are a vast array of doggy themed stamps available - from cute cartoons through to realistic photo quality images. The type of stamp will largely depend on the project. A cutesy canine cartoon is great for greetings cards and particularly good for youngsters, whereas rubber stamps depicting a particular breed of dog (such as the cute Bichon Frise from Dog Stamps Plus in the image) are ideal for fans of the breed and would make a great gift in their own right as well as making lovely hand stamped cards.

Doggy themed stamps are also a great way to make cards and gift items to sell to raise money for dog and animal charities (although do remember to check out the Angel Policy of the stamp manufacturer first). Many shelters or dogs homes will also welcome donations of hand stamped cards and gifts to sell. In addition to cards, bookmarks are also a quick and easy project and are popular sellers at fund raising craft markets and fairs.

There are lots of stamp companies who specialize in dog and pet themed stamps. Some great sites to look at are:
  • Dog Stamps Plus - in addition to supplying a vast range of breed specific and cartoon dog rubber stamps (including Raintree stamps as well as their own designs), this company also sells other dog related products such as punches. Rescue groups can apply for a free stamp and the company welcomes ideas for pet rescue as well as other dog and pet themed stamps.
  • Every Breed of Dog - this website offers a vast array of dog rubber stamps, including full body images, head images, novelty stamps and mini stamps. The site is easy to search and each breed has a selection of stamps available. The company also offers international delivery.
  • Kritters in the Mailbox - many different and cute stamps can be found on this website.
  • Rubber Hedgehog - there are a lot of fun dog rubber stamps on this site.
  • Dog Rubber Stamps - this is a UK company selling a vast range of dog stamps. It is also possible to customize the stamps with an address or prefix which makes them a neat idea for gifts.
