Improvised Stamping!

Many different items can be used to create stamped images and it's great fun to experiment! I've recently been playing with bubble wrap and this produces interesting and unusual results. One thing that I enjoy about this type of 'improvised' stamping is the way that it challenges me to think of different ways of approaching things. I used an old cassette tape box instead of a stamping block when I was writing this article as I was keen to demonstrate that you can utilize all sorts of things in a stamping project - and it needn't cost a lot of money! Take a look at this How To article for more information.

Do you have any ideas for 'improvised' stamping or stamping with unusual products? If you'd like to share any ideas that you have then why not leave a comment below or pop into the forum where I've started a forum discussion about this? I look forward to hearing from you!

When I was in grade school we made “potato stamps” by cutting a potato in half and carving the cut end. Your bubble wrap stamp reminds me of some of the stamps we made, but clearly the patter would be much smaller if that was done with bubble wrap. Great post.
