Paper chains needn't just be for the festive season - they make great decorations for summer parties too! Some paper chains draped around trees can add a bit of decorative flair to an outdoor barbecue or party.
© Kate PullenPaper chains are also a good activity for children and this can be a useful summer activity. All you need to make your own customized paper chains is some craft paper, rubber or foam stamps and some inks or paints. See How to Make Paper Chains for more information.

We are big paper chain people over at our house. It started during the big Holiday season, but since it’s degenerated into making chains for just about any occasion. Mowed the lawn? Paper chain!
They are so easy, and a little bit of stamping really makes them fit into any celebration.
Hi Rain, thank you for the comment! Friends of mine made a (tiny) paper chain the length of their baby for the baby’s first christmas, and now measure him and add new links to it each year. He’s now old enough to understand and remember, looking forward to updating it again. I guess they have pretty small window of opportunity before he thinks that it is the worst idea ever – however at the moment it’s pretty cool!
