I've been having fun making some backgrounds for rubber stamping projects. Backgrounds can bring some designs alive, adding extra color and texture to a variety of rubber stamping projects. Making your own backgrounds is a great way to create your own special papers for handmade cards and other projects. Great backgrounds can be created using inks, paints and chalks, and are easy to adapt.

For more information and ideas for interesting background techniques take a look at at our article about making backgrounds for rubber stamping projects.
