The Cushion of a Rubber Stamp

Kate Pullen
Definition: The cushion is an essential part of a rubber stamp. Sitting in between the die and the block, the cushion helps to spread the pressure and ensure good, clear stamped images every time.

Tip: When mounting stamps at home, a piece of an old mouse mat will make an ideal cushion.
