Small boxes created from paper or cardstock are simple to make. Left plain they are attractive and versatile containers, however with the addition of a few embellishments they really come alive! This cute butterfly box has been made from sheets of decorative scrapbook paper. I embellished this with three decoupage butterflies that match the paper design. I added stamped butterfly images to the inside of the box to follow the butterfly theme.
This box is very simple to make and can easily be adapted. I picked butterflies as the theme as I liked the idea of having butterflies 'flying' from the lid. Other themes such as birds or flowers would also work well. Take a look through your paper stash and stamp collection to see what you have available!
