Materials Required
- Sheet of polymer clay that has been prepared using the mica shift technique
- A sheet of well conditioned polymer clay in a coordinating color, scrap polymer clay
- Polymer clay tools
- Craft wire and jewelry findings as required
Instructions
- To make the pendant, take the scrap polymer clay and form this into the desired shape
- Take the rubber stamp mica shift clay sheet and place this over the pendant shape, trimming it to fit
- Put the pendant form on the complementary colored polymer clay and cut around it, press the base firmly to the pendant
- Cut a thin strip of polymer clay and make a bezel to go around the edges of the pendant
- Use a needle to make a hole through the pendant to thread the hanging wire - I made a hole from top to bottom to thread the wire through, however making a hole side to side might be easier
- To make the earrings, cut to shape from the mica shift decorated polymer clay
- Place these on the complementary colored polymer clay and cut around them
- Cut strips of polymer clay to make a bezel and fit this
- Make a hanger for the earrings or make a hole to hang the earring fitting from
- Bake the polymer clay pieces according to the manufacturers instructions
- Finish as required
