This is a simple way to keep young children occupied while also introducing them to rubber stamping. As the children are using the stamps to fill in the shapes, there is no requirement for the accurate placement of the stamps, making this a good project for young children. The finished shapes can be cut out by an adult and applied to cards for Father's Day or a birthday, or simply presented as a gift for the lucky dad!
Small foam stamps are ideal for young children as they are light and easy for young hands to hold. If, however, you don't have any foam stamps then any of your small wood mounted stamps will work well. Paints or water based inks are suitable for use by children and check the manufacturers instructions for any important or relevant information.
