Continue working in different colored chalks, building up the color over the card. Where different colors overlap the chalks will blend creating new shades. Fill in any gaps and go over any pale patches until the desired effect is achieved. Gently wipe the card with a paper cloth to remove any chalk dust, check the card again and spray with a fixative such as hairspray to fix the chalks.
