These cute books are simple to make out of a single square sheet of paper. A few cunning cuts and folds makes a handy sized book. One of the most exciting features of the book is the opportunity for hidden pockets and flaps. A cover will keep the book neatly together.

The paper can be rubber stamped, if required, before folding and cutting or decorated with rubber stamps at the end of the project. If the instructions seem a little complicated, make the book in scrap paper first - it really is surprisingly easy!

Materials Required
  • Sheet of square paper or light weight card (any size will work well, a sheet of 12" square will work perfectly.
  • Cardstock for the cover. Ribbons, embellishments and other adornments as required.
  • Scissors, ruler, glue, pencil and pencil folder (although not essential, a paper folder is useful to obtain clean and crisp folds).
The plan on the following page explains how the folds and cuts are made.
