A cover will keep the pages together and give added strength to the book. There are a number of different ways of making covers. One way is to cut two pieces of cardstock that are a little bigger than the pages of the book. These can be glued onto the outer pages of the book and joined with ribbon.

Another way of making a cover is to cut a single piece of card that is a little over twice the size of a page of the book. The outer pages of the book are glued into position on the cover. Ribbons can be added to close the book.

The book has a different layout depending on which way up the book is finished.
