Make a foam embellishment

Make a craft foam embellishment! This is a simple project that is easy to adapt. A rubber stamp will leave a permanent impression when it is stamped into hot craft foam (see How to Impress Craft Foam for more information on this technique). The outline will sink into the foam giving a three dimensional effect. The addition of pigment powders such as Perfect Pearls by Ranger Inks will give a wonderful metallic sheen.

Tip: Use black or dark craft foam for dramatic results.

Materials Required
  • A sheet of craft foam
  • A rubber stamp with a strong outline (see Types of Stamps for more information about stamps
  • Black ink pad
  • Water spritzer
  • Perfect Pearls Bronze, Gold or other pigment powders
  • Perfect Medium or embossing ink
