Detail description

Make sure you have detail info like size of card and envelopes, color, texture, blank or phrase, etc. Good photos is key to everything you sell online. Also tell how you are packaging it, customers may be afraid that it's going to get bend if not packaged properly.

Don't Worry About Asking Questions

I make and sell cards online and I would say to anyone thinking about buying online for the first time that they should not worry about asking questions. Many sellers love getting questions from buyers and appreciate the opportunity to make sure that the seller is happy before placing the order. One other tips about contacting sellers - if you are new to websites such as Etsy, you will see things like 'convo' and may wonder what this means. This is simply the means that Etsy sellers and buyers have to contact each other and send messages.

Good Photos

I don't sell cards online at the moment, but I used to and had a store on Etsy for a couple of years which I loved. My tips for people starting out would be for them not to overlook the importance of good photos. When I started selling my cards online the photos were not as good as they could be. In fact I cringe when I think back to some of the early photographs I used. No wonder sales were slow in coming! I found that good pictures of my cards that clearly showed the detail really helped to convert views to sales. I hope to start selling cards again soon, so I will be interested to see what others have to say.
