Make a Paper Cone Christmas Tree

This paper cone Christmas tree is so easy to make, you can easily whip a few up to make a pretty festive display in an evening. The paper cone Christmas trees are made from a cone of paper or cardstock that is placed onto a base. The tree can be decorated with rubber stamps and other embellishments and topped with beads or a star as you desire. I stamped and heat embossed the cone in the picture using a sparkly embossing powder which added to the festive feel. I ran a row of glitter glue dots along the bottom and topped it with a couple of beads that I threaded onto a wire.

Tip: I covered the beads with the same glitter glue that I used on the cone Christmas tree to give a coordinated look to the finished project.

Materials Required

• Paper or cardstock
• Rubber stamps, inks and embossing powder as required
• Glitter glue and any embellishments
• Basic crafting supplies

Instructions

The cone Christmas tree is simply made from a paper or cardstock cone. Either make a cone by drawing a semi-circle using a compass or round object, or use this Cone Template for a convenient alternative.

1. Cut out a cone shape and decorate it with rubber stamps and other embellishments.
2. Glue the edges of the cone together
3. Make a base for the cone, the inner of a tissue paper roll will work well or use the template on the next page to make a base for the cone
4. Add any other embellishments as required.

This cute cone looks pretty on its own or why not make a few to form a center piece for a festive table decoration.
